Jema will soon be doing open-minded hiring

Company Life

Attracting the “appropriate” profiles is high on the list of challenges companies are facing. The number of job vacancies is increasing, forcing employers to rethink the way they recruit and their criteria. At Jema, the workforce shortage is particularly critical during this period of business growth.

Recruitment

In-house training

Recently, we have focused on in-house training for our new recruits. The skills required are quite specific, so we hire people and train them on-site, daily. However, the lack of workforce remains a problem. That is why Jema applied to be part of a new program at Accent, a temporary employment agency.

Open-minded hiring

Jema is proud to be one of the 10 companies selected to test a new recruitment method: open-minded hiring. This method of selecting candidates proposed by Accent can be done in two ways. The first is to meet the candidates selected by the company without knowing their personal details. The second is to make an appointment with the few candidates pre-selected by Accent without having access to their personal data. In both situations, the employer has no access to the CVs before meeting the candidate.

This method is in line with our values of promoting diversity and inclusion in our company. We are proud to have been selected and look forward to seeing the results of this new method.
